The Sections

In the UK there are Sections in Bristol, Hull, London, Manchester, the Midlands, Newcastle, Scotland, Thames Valley and the West Riding of Yorkshire. There is also a Trent Valley Branch of the Midlands Section and an Irish Section.

There are Divisions of the Association in the Republic of South Africa, Canada, and South East Asia. The South African Division is comprised of the Cape, Natal and Transvaal Sections and the Eastern Cape Branch; the Canadian Division, the Ontario Section and the Quebec Branch; and, the South East Asia Division, the Singapore and Kuala Lumpur and Selenga Section. There are Branches of the Association in Pakistan, Zimbabwe and Nigeria. Overseas Members, not resident in any of these areas, are placed in the General Overseas Section.

Former Divisions of the Association in Australia and New Zealand are now independent organisations. They have similar names, Surface Coatings Association of Australia and Surface Coatings Association of New Zealand, (SCAA and SCANZ). This reflects the close ties that are maintained between them.

New Branches, Sections or Divisions, are established in response to groups of Members, who wish to organise their own local activities. The geographic structure has also changed, and continues to do so, in response to demographic changes within the surface coatings industries.
