The Association has produced a set of Regulations and Guidance Notes for Membership of the Association. A full description of all the grades and classes of membership is found on this website.
To help you become a Member of the Association, you must first make an application. The Association publishes application forms for each grade of membership to which direct application may be made. This means, of course, that you first have to select the most appropriate grade of membership, or in the case of Professional Membership for which there are three classes, the most appropriate class. The detailed information in the Regulations and Guidance Notes should help you in your choice. In the majority of cases the selection is straightforward. If you feel in need of help and advice, please do not hesitate to contact the Membership Secretary.
If you live in Canada, Malaysia, Singapore or South Africa, special conditions apply to the processing of your application.
The Association is a Member of Coatings Societies International and maintains a Register of qualified surface coatings professionals. Professional Membership of the Association provides you with automatic election to this Register.
Experience shows that many potential applications are delayed because the applicants do not supply the information requested. It will save the Association much time and yourself unnecessary anguish if you carefully read the advice in the Guidance Notes before completing the application form.
