“Blow, blow, thou winter wind…” but before you get swept up in the mad panic of Christmas shopping and office parties, here’s an opportunity to dress up fine and enjoy a splendid meal at the OCCA Northern Sections Winter Ball.
The event is taking place at the Old Swan, Harrogate’s most famous hotel (where Agatha Christie took refuge in 1926) and will be a formal-dress affair, with a reception at 6.30 for dinner at 7.15.
After the meal, a Children in Need charity auction will take place, for items that money can’t buy! This will be hosted again this year by our venerable president Mr. Graham Armstrong.
The night continues with the popular Audio Events DJ playing all your favourite tunes until 1.30.
Local attractions include the splendid tea-shops and pubs in Harrogate, Fountains Abbey, the Harlow Carr Gardens and Studley Royal. Enjoy the Christmas market, pick up a few presents and relax with a pot of Earl Grey before heading home.

Tickets for the Winter Ball are £58.00 inc VAT and can be ordered via the OCCA website. Payment via online credit card link.
Individual and group bookings are welcome, with round tables of 8 or 10 for companies. Menus and wine lists will be available in due course. All bookings and dietary requirements are to be notified by Friday 1st November latest.
