Notice of Annual General Meeting 2018
The FIFTY-SIXTH ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF THE OIL AND COLOUR CHEMISTS ASSOCIATION and its ASSOCIATED COMPANIES ABROAD

(Registered Charity No. 259095 Registered Company No 745621 Registered in England. A company limited by guarantee.)

The FIFTY-SIXTH ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF THE ASSOCIATION will be held at 13.00 on Tuesday 11th September 2018 at Dept of Colour Chemistry, University of Leeds,  Leeds, LS2 9JT.  A hot and cold buffet lunch and drinks will be available from 12.00 noon.

The Agenda and Annual Report of Council for 2017 is available to Members on www.occa.org.uk or by request – please email a request to admin@occa.org.uk

Under Article 34A of the Articles of Association, the following ex-officio/Honorary officers are nominated by council for election at the Annual General Meeting:

1) President Council nomination is Mike Serene
     
2) Vice President(s) Article 55C
  Council has nominated a single VP and has put forward Peter Collins for election.
     
3) Honorary Officers Article 34A-IV and Article 55D
  Council have nominated the following:
  Hon Treasurer   vacant
  Hon Secretary      vacant
  Hon Chairman Technical Committee   Dr Steven Cartlidge
  Hon Editor vacant
     
4) Regional Representatives Article 34A-V
  Three regional representatives are nominated by Council as ex-officio officers as follows:
  Manchester vacant
  West Riding     vacant
  Midlands & Southern Richard Banks
     
5) Elective Council Members   Article 34B
 

In addition to the Honorary Officers, there are vacancies for elective members of Council who each serve for a minimum of two years.

i) Elective members elected for 2 years at the last Annual General Meeting, who have already served 1 year and are eligible for re-election if they wish to remain:

ii) Elective members coming to the end of their 2 year term, who are eligible for nomination and re-election:

Prof Long Lin
Susan Bradley
 
In addition to the above, vacancies exist for up to 6 new elective members of Council.

The Nomination Form must bear the names of four Full Members of the Association and be received not later than Tuesday 17th July 2018. Registered Students are neither eligible for membership of the Council nor may nominate candidates for the Council.

For catering purposes it would be very much appreciated if all those attending would register their attendance using the link below.  Otherwise we may no be able to guarantee sufficient provisions.
