Abstract:

Spraying paint presents several unique challenges to the coating formulator, none more critical than the introduction of air within the coating film during the application process. DISPELAIR™ CF 604 is a deaerating additive designed specifically to combat air entrainment upon spraying and in turn enhance the aesthetic and physical properties of the coating.

Speaker Profile - Ed Rushworth, Product Development Manager for Surface Coatings, Blackburn Chemicals

Ed Rushworth graduated with a Masters in Chemistry from Newcastle University in August 2018, specialising in Inorganic Chemistry.  During his time at University, Ed spent a year in the USA at the University of Vermont investigating Organometallic Catalysis, as well as undertaking internships at various chemical companies including Blue Star Silicones (Bordon, UK) and his current employers, Blackburn Chemicals (Blackburn, UK).  Since October 2018, Ed has worked in the technical team at Blackburn Chemicals as a Product Development Manager for Surface Coatings.
