OCCA is continuing to monitor the ongoing situation with respect to the outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19). We are following official UK government guidelines, which advise on how to contain, delay and mitigate the spread of the virus.
In line with the most recent government official guidance, all face to face OCCA meetings and events have been cancelled until further notice. However, we are focusing our efforts into providing a number of new online initiatives, including our newly launched Weekly Webinar series, Council & team meetings, networking and social events, primarily via our new Zoom platform.
Please see our website and social media platforms for details of all planned events, including booking links where appropriate.

Our OCCA Weekly Webinars series continues with "Block copolymers as coatings additives" presented by Jorn Renema of BASF Formulation Additives.
This webinar is free for OCCA Members & invited guests to attend, simply register below and you'll receive further details/instructions on how to join the webinar in due course.
Block polymers are a fascinating class of polymers because they can combine very different polymer properties in a single macro molecule. Depending on the chemical nature of the individual polymer blocks , nanophase-separated plastic materials, polymeric emulsifiers or highly effective paint and varnish additives can be produced. In this presentation we want to present the wide range of possible uses of highly ordered block copolymers as formulation additives for paints and lacquer applications.
