OCCA Weekly Webinars Series 14 continues with "Insulation Without Corrosion" presented by Markus Hallack of Evonik. The webinar will take place via Zoom on Wednesday 13 November at 2:30pm.
Abstract:
Thermal management coatings play a crucial role in protecting industrial equipment from high temperatures and corrosion. Corrosion under insulation (CUI) is a significant problem that can occur when insulation materials are used to protect equipment from heat.
Coatings based on TEGO Therm granules and binders as a thermal managing coating can be used to prevent CUI and protect equipment from high temperatures.
Coatings based on SILIKOPHEN AC are designed for high-temperature applications. It is a silicone resin-based coating that can resist temperatures up to 650°C and provides excellent protection against corrosion and oxidation.
Both TEGO Therm and SILIKOPHEN are ideal for use in various industries such as petrochemical, power generation, and refining. These coatings offer excellent thermal protection and can significantly extend the service life of equipment by preventing corrosion and other forms of damage caused by high temperatures.
