Alberdingk Boley proudly presents REN AC 8403, a pioneering biobased acrylic dispersion developed for DTM paints and anti-corrosive primers. With over 32% biobased carbon content, it significantly reduces reliance on fossil-derived raw materials while offering outstanding corrosion protection; up to C5-levels. Uniquely formulated without APEO, formaldehyde, or heavy metals, REN AC 8403 enables safer, more environmentally responsible coatings. It performs exceptionally even without aquatoxic pigments or fillers like zinc phosphate. A key advantage of REN AC 8403 is its ability to deliver high protection at lower film thicknesses. This allows for lighter coatings, which is particularly beneficial in transportation applications—helping reduce overall weight, fuel consumption, and environmental impact. Jason Campbell works at Alberdingk UK – the sole distributor of Alberdingk Boley GmbH, a leading innovator in water-based acrylics, polyurethane dispersions, and bio-based polyols. A Chemistry graduate from the University of York with over 30 years’ experience in the coatings, construction, and allied industries, he has led numerous sustainable product launches across Europe, driving the transition toward low-VOC, renewable, and recyclable coating technologies.

Markus Dimmers began his apprenticeship at ALBERDINGK BOLEY in 1990 and attended evening school to train as a chemical engineer. For 25 years, he has been head of technical marketing for all Alberdingk polymer dispersions.
