Abstract:

Allnex will speak about the new Additol Dry CF Series, their range of Cobalt free driers and their uses for curing both solvent-based and water-based alkyd resins and why the market is moving away from Cobalt containing products from a H&S perspective.

They will show an overview of performance in common paint systems such as for DTM, wood and Decorative paints and also lower viscosity applications for inks/graphic arts. They will also introduce the newer grades CF-103 & CF-300 that might not be known to the OCCA audience since the earlier introduction of the first series in 2018.

Speaker Profile - Marco Bachler, Development and Innovation Team for Additives, allnex

Marco Bachler joined „SOLUTIA“ (Graz, Austria) in 2002. After his education (Chemical engineer) he held several positions in R&D, Product development, Technical service and Business Development. In different functions for Additives since 2006 he was announced as business development manager, setting global trends for Additives. Marco belongs to the global Business Development and Innovation team for Additives in allnex.

Speaker Profile - Bernhard Hirschmann, Director of Business Development - Additives, allnex

Bernhard Hirschmann joined HOECHST VIANOVA in 1988 where he started his career in the polymer research department. After studying chemistry and engineering in Graz and Zürich he worked as chemical engineer and held several positions in different functions like R&D for acrylic polymers, analytics and up scaling processes in different production plants. In 2001 Bernhard moved to the company’s ADDITIVES business unit where he started to build up a worldwide troubleshooting force – later he took over the technical leader position for CYTEC Coating Additives. In 2008 he was announced as the company’s first “business development manager” responsible to drive global innovation and trend setting for new Additive solutions. Between 2012 and 2015 he studied business management & marketing at ZfU International Business School in Zürich. In 2015 Bernhard has been given the “Global Segment Lead” for ALLNEX’s Additives business. In 2018 the new global Additives unit was established where he is heading the Business Development and leading the global Additives innovation & product development. Bernhard has over 30 years of experience in the paint and coatings industry.
