Abstract:
We will explore the benefits Pantora Connect provides to designers and color workflow teams, now also connected with X-Rite's range of portable and benchtop devices, taking you “beyond color” for the purposes of both visualizing and communicating complex materials. Users can capture or import spectral samples and store, manage, view, edit, and render them as virtual materials. One of the primary goals of Pantora Connect is to better communicate while working among cross-functional teams ensuring consistency amongst the different groups within an organization. It also streamlines measurement capabilities to visualize textured samples like flake texture and color flop. This packaged data set is the X-Rite Appearance Exchange Format (AxF) file format. A robust and customizable file format which assists in organizing all pertinent data related to a material. Speaker Profile: Felix Schmollgruber, Sales Director CP&M, EMEA, X-Rite
Felix Schmollgruber studied printing and media technology at the university of applied sciences in Munich joining GretagMacbeth as sales manager for industrial color management in 2001. In 2004 he joined X-Rite for the same role and territory and when the companies merged in mid 2006 he moved to the EMEA headquarters in Regensdorf Switzerland to step in as application engineer and trainer for customers and internal when lots of cross training on the combined portfolio was needed. After leading the tech support team for 2 years Felix moved into product management for Automotive and later into leading the entire EMEA application engineering and technical support team.
Since the beginning of the year Felix is Sales Director EMEA for X-Rite’s “Consumer Products & Materials” (CP&M) business unit.
