Manchester Section of OCCA invite you to attend our technical meeting on Monday November 5th at Whitefield Golf club.

The evening will commence with a hot and cold buffet at 6.30pm, sponsored by Evonik, followed by a presentation from Markus Vogel entitled 'Particle Technology to optimise your decorative coatings formulations'. 'Silica and Silicate particles are well known in the coatings industry for rheology control and matting effects but these particles can provide much more. This presentation shows you some attributes of silica/silicate particles which can optimise or improve your coating formulation. On one hand it shows the cost efficiency of silicate particles as TiO2 extender which could be combined with a better performance of your white base paint, on the other hand it shows some applications of special modified silica particles to improve properties like Touch up or dirt pick up or even improvement of mud cracking behaviour. Beside the latest lab results we will give you also formulation hints for the usage of our particle technology'.
